OZ shoots new video: NGIBATSHELILE

Johannesburg – Vernacular rapper OZ shot the first video from his debut release Direct Translation on the 22nd and 23rd of October 2011.

The music video is a metaphor for his trials and tribulations in trying to make it in a rife and harsh music industry.

Shot over two days, Ngibatshelile was shot in a studio setting and on a desert-like landscape. The video sees our hero OZ on a journey, getting scorched by the blazing sun and collapsing in the desert only to be rescued by a nomadic princess (Zani Challe) who nurses him back to health and they proceed to finish the journey where OZ establishes his own army.

The song Ngibatshelile is part of the ensemble of vernacular tracks in the Mixtape "Before I Drop" expected to be released nationwide in 2012. Mixtape paves a way for the the long awaited album THE DIRECT TRANSLATION which boosts with 15 songs and features the vocal talents of Smashis (of Cashtime Fam), Zani Challe (of South West Divas), Maraza (Channel O presenter) and Masikandi crooner Sakhile Mfuphi among others. Album release dates and launch parties will be published on OZ’s official blogsite www.wewantoz.blogspot.com.
