OZ's digital album release: Direct Translation

The revolution has began and this revolution will be televised. The long awaited album DIRECT TRANSLATION by OZ, the Direct Translator hit online stores today, the 25th of September 2014. The 13 tracked vernacular rap album contains hits like BACK TO THE CITY; PROMISE TO OWETHU; FINALLY HERE and HEART OF A LION (aka SUICIDE NOTE). Vocal features on the album include Congolese crooner D BOY; rappers KAY-E and Maraza; Motswako artist Succezz Lepora; SAMA award winner Sakhile Mfuphi and Mzansi's hook master Jolondy. The release will be followed by music videos which will hit the small screens this summer.

Catch OZ, The Direct Translator performing live this Thursday on the Siz N Scoop Show with hosts Sizwe Dlomo & Siya aka Scoop Makhathini. This Y FM show has the biggest Hip-Hop following in Gauteng and can be caught on the frequency 99.2 FM.

OZ's prepares for iTunes release of Back to the City

The Direct Translator will officially release his singles BACK 2 THE CITY and FINALLY HERE on iTunes on  Thursday, 29 August. The release is long awaited and highly anticipated as the single BACK 2 THE CITY  has been on high rotation on Y FM for the past 4 weeks. Metro FM and vernacular radio stations will be following suit soon.

Oz goes back to the city

Audiences nationwide were introduced to OZ through his 2009 single IMAL' YAM' the video of which received massive flighting on SABC1's music video programme Music Lounge. A handful others joined his fan train after the 2010 FIFA world cup inspired hit SIYABANGENA which featured Kay-E and Succezz Lepora.

Setting tone for his 2013 debut album Direct Translation, Promise To Owethu is a father’s ode to be a responsible parent to his daughter.  This song is mature in both delivery and content and will appeal to both single and married couples alike.

We know his as a talented lyricist and rapper. However, OZ The Direct Translator is recently turning heads for a different reason. OZ is being spotted in clubs and private functions turning tables and CD Jays. We have discovered that he takes his DJing seriously so much so that he owns and offers sound hiring services to clients of all sorts. One can only wonder what he'll be doing next.
